 Important Information for Your Winter Arrival

• Winter Tires Required
  In Austria, winter tires are mandatory from November 1st to April 15th. Please make sure your vehicle is equipped accordingly.
• Snow Chains for snow or ice
  Snow chains are required on snow-covered or icy roads! Please keep snow chains readily available in case they are needed.
• Important for Diesel Vehicles
  As we do not have an underground or covered parking garage, please ensure your diesel fuel is suitable for low temperatures (low CFPP value). If in doubt, check with your fuel station to confirm the diesel is frost-resistant.

Generell arrival information

Location: Our house is located in the village of Hintertux at the end of the Zillertal at 1,500 m above sea level, only around 150 meters from the valley station of the cable car to the Hintertux Glacier. The Tuxertal is a side valley of the Zillertal, around 50 kilometers from the Wiesing-Zillertal motorway exit. Due to the altitude, the Tuxertal is particularly snow-reliable, the slopes are at an altitude of 1,300 to 3,250 m above sea level. In addition, the location of Hintertux at 1,500 m above sea level offers a particularly non-stimulating and healthy high-altitude climate.

Arriving by car: Inntal autobahn (A12) – Zillertal exit, main road (B169) to Mayrhofen, Tuxer Landesstrasse in the direction of Hintertux in Tyrol. (Autobahn exit Zillertal to Hintertux 50 km). The Tuxer Landesstrasse from Mayrhofen to Hintertux is easily accessible all year round. Weight limit 16 tons, maximum headroom in the avalanche galleries 4.20 m.

Parking: There are enough parking spaces for all guests, directly at the hotel

Arriving by train: Jenbach/Tyrol express train station, Zillertalbahn (train or bus) to Mayrhofen; Post bus service Mayrhofen – Hintertux.

Arriving by plane: Innsbruck Airport 90 km, Munich Airport 230 km, Salzburg Airport 160 km
